Chornobyl 22

Directed by

Following the invasion of Ukraine in February-March 2022, Russian troops occupied the safety zone around Chornobyl (Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Zone of Alienation), where Europe’s worst nuclear disaster occurred in 1986. Guided by operators who continue to work at the site to monitor the plant and its safety, we learn about the lesser-known facts behind the current conflict, in which yesterday’s catastrophe casts its shadow over the present.
