Directed by

A group of children guides us to seek reasons why we should separate rubbish collection: what and how is separated from what, where does the rubbish finish up, what can and has to be done, and, moreover, what is going on in Chieri, their hometown? A new door-to-door rubbish collection method is changing families' habits. The children give us an account of the hows and whens things happen through their own toys, talks with experts, and a visit to the rubbish collection areas.

About the Movie Chi ha paura del sacco nero?

Scene/ries of sustainability

Course/competition for the creation of four video-reportages aiming at informing and awakening public opinion to sustainable development issues: “good practise” framed from an environmental economic and social viewpoint.

After the success of the past years SCENE/RIES OF SUSTAINABILITY presents its third edition at the Festival Cinemabiente 2004.

This project has been conceived to create effective works on environment communication offering the opportunity to express different ideas. The audiovisual tool has been chosen to that effect. Scene/aries of sustainability has created the conditions for a vocational path which enhances the participants' experience and provides them with the right technical and cultural tools.

SCENE/RIES OF SUSTAINABILITY's third edition has been enriched with a new important element: a group whose members are past editions participants after a vocational cycle, has made a video based on the format of one of the other four groups. The advanced group could experiment with the making of a pilot television episode which could eventually be extended to a whole series.

The videos and the formats express the point of view of the people living in a particular area and aim at detonating small bits of information which can contribute to experimenting new communication strategies to tackle complex issues of common interest.

This project is promoted by Provincia di Torino, Sustainable Development and Waste Programming Service, Turin Environment Education Territorial Laboratory and M.A.P. – Media Agency Provincia, in collaboration with Zenit Audiovisual Arts Coop and Cinemambiente.
