C'est pas grave

Directed by

A couple visits the Gallery of Extinct Species at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Paris. She's an environmentalist (or so it seems), he's less so. In the display cases, hundreds of extinct animals bear witness to man's destructive actions. The woman is outraged, furious with her partner, who seems to give the problem little importance. After a series of arguments and misunderstandings, the two end up having lunch together: only then will the protagonist's true nature emerge... Winner of the Honorable Mention for Best Short Film at the 2009 FICA Film Festival, C'est pas grave pokes fun at the risks of superficial environmentalism, but it's also a cry of alarm for the hundreds of animal species at risk of extinction.
