Ten short chapters in the story of imagined friendship of a penguin alone on an iceberg in the Antarctic. First he tries to make a penguin from stone, then he adds a photo from an album of those taken during happier moments in his life, then he thinks he sees his friend among the constellations in the nighttime sky, but then he suddenly finds his friend at his side just when all hope seemed to have vanished.
