With hard work and dedicated enthusiasm, two Roman cooperatives, Il Trattore and Valle dei Casali, based in a natural reserve a few km outsides Rome, carry out various alternative, green projects: land reclaim; organic farming; catering; landscape maintenance; gardening; environmental education for children; and psychosocial rehabilitation for the mentally handicapped.
