biography

She is an anthropologist, director, producer and director of photography; after telling the story of two Uruguayan singer-songwriters in Aves de paso (2009) and tackling the issue of immigration in The Hand that Feeds (2014), she achieved great international success with the Netflix documentary Knock Down the House (2019), about the 2018 US election campaign, which won numerous international awards and was shortlisted for the Oscars.
