Antropologa, regista, produttrice e direttrice della fotografia, dopo aver raccontato la storia di due cantautori uruguayani in Aves de paso (2009) e affrontato il tema dell’immigrazione in The Hand that Feeds (2014), ottiene grande successo internazionale con il documentario per Netflix Knock Down the House - Alla conquista del Congresso (2019), sulla campagna elettorale statunitense del 2018, vincitore di numerosi premi internazionali ed entrato nella shortlist degli Oscar.
