biography
He was born in the town of Tiksi, on the shores of the Laptev Sea in the Republic of Jakuzia, a land that has become the main subject of Maxim and his sister Evgenia's works. He directed the short documentary film The Hunters (2014) and, in 2018, he co-directed with Christian Frei Genesis 2.0, winner of the World Cinema Documentary Special Jury Award for Cinematography at Sundance 2018 and the International Competition of the 21st CinemAmbiente.
