biography
He was born in 1959. He achieved a diploma at the Nederland Film Academy. He directed his first long-running film The Phoenix Mystery in 1990. He has made many documentaries, among which The Eye of the Day, that has won many awards at international festivals; together with Shape of the Moon, it constitutes a kind of diptych on the Indonesian situation.
