He made his debut in 1998 with the short film Heidi. He then directed television works such as Rose (2005), Das wahre Leben (2006) and an episode of the series Polizeiruf 110, before making films such as Lila, Lila (2009), Das kleine Gespenst (2013) and Grüningers Fall (2014).
