Prima di dedicarsi al cinema dal 2009, è stata medico di famiglia. Nel 2010 realizza il cortometraggio Time Lines, premiato in numerosi festival in Canada, negli Stati Uniti e in Europa. All the Time in the World è il suo primo lungometraggio, seguito dal più recente First We Eat (2020).
