Si diploma all’Ontario College of Arts e alla Faculty of Fine Arts della York University. Le sue opere multimediali vengono esposte al MOMA di New York e alla National Gallery of Canada. Interessata al rapporto tra ecologia e scienza nel 2000 realizza il lungometraggio Deam Machine seguito da Kardia (2006). Nel 2020 inizia la serie documentaria televisiva The Nature of Things.
