Formatosi sia in ambito scientifico sia cinematografico, è docente di Filmmaking for Scientists e Storytelling & Storyboarding Science in diverse università e istituti di ricerca. Fondatore della Swiss Science Film Academy, è membro della Swiss Association of Film Journalists e della Federazione internazionale FIPRESCI. Nel 2013 realizza i documentari Elephant Exodus e Non-deadly Hunting, nel 2022 Chi sta uccidendo i nostri lupi?, presentato al 25° CinemAmbiente.
