Nel 2004 viene premiato dalla CNN Africa per il film d’inchiesta Walk to Womanhood, sulle mutilazioni genitali femminili perpetrate nelle piccole comunità africane. Per Al Jazeera e Channel 4 News realizza film in tutto il continente. Per BBC Africa Eye dirige Suicide Stories (2019), The Baby Stealers (2020), sul traffico di bambini, e il lungometraggio I Am Samuel (2020) con cui affronta il tema dell’omosessualità nella società keniana.
