biography
È nato a Praga nel 1947. Dopo aver frequentato la Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film di Monaco, ha viaggiato in Asia e Sud America, per poi iniziare nel 1973 la carriera di documentarista. Gli sono state dedicate retrospettive a Amsterdam, Calcutta, Chicago e Washington.
