biography
Regista e ambientalista, nasce a Nairobi, Kenya. Studia regia in Gran Bretagna e ritorna in India, il suo paese d'origine, nel 1970. A New Delhi fonda i Riverbank Studios e collabora alla creazione del Jamia Milia Mass Communication Centre. Negli ultimi anni alcuni suoi film hanno ottenuto riconoscimenti internazionali. Questi alcuni dei suoi lavori più recenti: Food for Tomorrow (1992-93), The Last Migration (1994-95), Honey Hunters of the Blue Mountains (2000).
