Fonda la propria casa di produzione Man's Film nel 1977. Nel 1982 realizza il suo primo lungometraggio, The Bed. I film al suo attivo sono: Equilibres (1997), The Bed (1982), Dust (1983), Sacd (1983), Cruel Embrace (1987), Il Maestro (1988), On Earth as in Heaven (1991), Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (1995), The quarry (1998), Nuages (2001).
