biography
Nasce a Sunnmøre, Norvegia, il 16 aprile 1970. Studia al liceo a Volda e presso le università di Bergen e di Oslo. Debutta come documentarista con il film-tesi I kjærleikens hus (1995). Nel 1998 porta a termine il suo primo documentario, Dei mjuke hendene, distribuito nei cinema, e vincitore di molti premi. Fråtseri uno dei 7 film inclusi nella serie di cortometraggi De 7 Dødssynder (2000) è stato il suo primo fiction-film.
