Ha diretto il suo primo lungometraggio documentario, Sex Stars, nel 1977, seguito da D.O.A., rockumentary sui Sex Pistols del 1980, Born To Lose: The Last Rock and Roll Movie (1999), Hey! Is Dee Dee Home? (2002) e East of Paradise, presentato a Venezia nel 2005.
