Inizia a lavorare nel cinema nel 1980 con un film poliziesco “sottomarino”, ma è dall'88 che colleziona premi per i suoi documentari: Le vieil homme e le désert (1988), Prague 48-68-88 (1990), Objectif canopee (1992), Les volcans sous la mer (1998).
