Ha studiato giornalismo presso la Southern Methodist University di Dallas e cinema all’University of North Texas, prima di esordire con il cortometraggio documentario Cutting History, a cui è seguito Beyond the Notes. Campania in-felix è il suo primo lungometraggio.
