biography
Nata in Finlandia nel 1978, studia Documentary Direction presso la University of Art and Design Helsinki, dove si è iscritta nel 2004 dopo essersi laureata in Film and Television Studies alla University of Turku. In passato ha lavorato come secondo assistente regista nel lungometraggio Pietà (2007) e nella sceneggiatura del cortometraggio televisivo Tyttöjen ilta (Girls' Night, 2008). Ha esordito alla regia con il cortometraggio documentaristico Eilisen eväät (Throwaways, 2007) a cui ha fatto seguito Väylä (Oil Blue, 2008), il suo saggio di laurea.
