biography
Born in Finland in 1978, she studies Documentary Direction at the University of Art and Design Helsinki, where she enrolled in 2004 after graduating in Film and Television Studies from the University of Turku. She previously worked as second assistant director on the feature film Pietà (2007) and on the screenplay for the television short film Tyttöjen ilta (Girls' Night, 2008). She made her directorial debut with the short documentary Eilisen eväät (Throwaways, 2007), which was followed by Väylä (Oil Blue, 2008), her graduation film.
