Studia architettura per dedicarsi poi al video essay. Dirige Elements (2014), presentato alla Biennale di Venezia, Peter Daler (2019), presentato al Milano Design FF e Riders Not Heroes (2020, co-diretto con Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli). Montegelato viene presentato all’ultima Mostra del Cinema di Venezia.
