Si è laureato presso la School of Visual Arts di Manhattan e ha quindi codiretto con Chris Wedge L’era glaciale (2002) e Robots (2005), prima di realizzare L’era glaciale 2 - Il disgelo (2006), L’era glaciale 3 - L’alba dei dinosauri (2009) e Rio (2011).
