Esordisce nel 2002 con il documentario Stocktown e realizza, tra gli altri, Mr. Catra - The Faithful (2004), Murder (2009), A Kind of Paradise (2011), Kidd Life (2012) e Ai Weiwei - The Fake Case (2013), che vince il premio Bodil come miglior documentario.
