È nato nel 1973 a Yazd in Iran. Ha conseguito la laurea in fotografia e cinema nel 1999. Dal 1989 ha realizzato vari documentari tra i quali Jush-e-Doreh (1989), Slanghtering of camels (1994), Desert (1998), Towards clean water (2001), Pearl's dream (2001).
