biography
Nato in Mauritania, nel 1961, he vissuto in Mauritania e in Mali, ha studiato a Mosca. Lavora a Parigi. Dopo alcuni cortometraggi sulla sua esperienza di esilio, si è imposto con La Vie sur terre. Il suo Heremakono – Aspettando la felicità (2002) è stato distribuito anche in Italia.
