biography
Born in Mauritania, in 1961, he lived in Mauritania and in Mali. He studied cinema in Moscow. At present he works in Paris. After a few documentaries on his experience in exile, he became popular with La Vie sur terre. Heremakono (2002) has also been distributed in Italy.
