Two people in the desert, in the former bed of the world's longest river, now a dry expanse of sand, looking desperately for a trace of water... A search that becomes a symbolic return to the pureness of origins, a pureness lost to the ravages of speed and technology, in an epoch where mankind is disconnected from nature.
«I wanted to shoot the film without having to add postproduction graphic effects. Given the careful attention to the visual concept, it was hard to find the right soundtrack. During shooting we didn't capture any sound; the idea was to complete the film without a soundtrack. But then we worked with Charo Calvo, who provided us with a stunning sound design».
