Marine Animal Forests

Directed by

Marine forests are home to many still-unknown organisms; they are inhabited by animals essential for maintaining balance in marine ecosystems and life in general. Often, however, we are unaware of the resources and benefits we derive from so-called ecosystem services. The film portrays marine forests and their inhabitants, as told by scientists, muscle farmers, and underwater guides who work there.

The film is part of science communication by the Water Defenders Alliance initiative coordinated by LifeGate and sponsored by Fondazione Compagnia San Paolo under the Re:Azioni grant.
