Dorji is a young shepherd from the Yugur tribe of China, who divides his time between his ailing grandfather and his mother's flock of sheep. Every two weeks, the boy is granted a day off, which he always spends with Tsolmo, his lifelong friend who lives ten kilometers away, leafing through a picture book and playing with magnets. A peaceful routine, destined to be suddenly interrupted, will leave Dorji with only a few small, precious objects as souvenirs.
