Le guerre dimenticate in Africa: democrazia in salsa somala

Directed by

Since 1991 Somalia has been the scene of a civil war with many clashes. The roots of these clashes stem from the colonial era and extend to the crisis in the mid-1990s. The cold war, Aidid and Siad Barre, the clashes with Ethiopia, anarchy, the interference of the Italian government, the lords of the war, famine, the Operation Restore Hope and its failure, are all part of a reality which is unequalled in other parts of the world. Somalia is crumbling apart relentlessly. Democrazia in salsa somala is the latest episode in the series “Guerre Dimenticate” (Forgotten Wars).
