Le Alpi, l’arco occidentale: la Valle d’Aosta

Directed by

Harshness and purity of a world of wild peaks; rocks, glaciers and men are the protagonists of this film dedicated to the Aosta Valley, which is the region that has the most complex mountain group of the whole Alpine range. The legendary exploits of famous alpinists, such as Walter Bonatti, Massimo Mila and Edward Whymper, are conjured up. Audacious film shots portray – through unseen pictures of today and precious documents of the past – the Cervino (Matterhorn), Monte Rosa, Gran Paradiso and Monte Bianco (Mont Blanc), king of the Aosta Valley scenery – The Royal Highness of Europe!
