La Terre vue du ciel

Directed by

In 1991, the French photographer, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, founded the agency Altitude creating a unique collection of aerial pictures. Being a specialist in this kind of photography and having written about 60 books, he has carried out an ambitious project (with the patronage of UNESCO) of collecting photographs of the "earth from above". Based on the shots taken by Arthus-Bertrand, La terre vue du ciel depicts a portrait of our planet never unveiled before. These pictures are full of emotion and beauty and take us on a journey from the Genesis to urban society; along the way they show us traces of ancient civilizations and some of the most hidden places on earth.
