Two young dam watchmen go about their daily duties, checking the data and the instrument settings of a huge hydroelectric plant in a mountainous area characterized by rock and lichen which, if they could speak, they would tell many tales: the Alpine skirmishes fought a century ago, to which the ruins at the bottom of the lake are the last remaining testimony.
