I custodi dell'acqua
Directed by
Time in Carnia, a remote area of the eastern Alps, ticks to nature’s cyclical rhythm. Projects for the development of local water resources by external economic interests stir unrest among the local population. A slight revolution in provincial administration, coupled with civil initiatives against the privatization of water services which put the issue on a referendum ballot in 2011, converge in moving public sentiment to protect their territory. Two women different in age tell a story of the local residents’ love of their land, the reemergence of solidarity and idealism rooted in nature.

Water
Pure from its source, uncontaminated and bottled in plastic, this essential element is both wasted and sought after like a treasure, too much or too little in a changing world.
