Détour De Seta

Directed by

This film is a journey through the cinema work of Vittorio De Seta, one of the greatest masters of documentary films. It also tells about the changes in lifestyle undergone by our society in the last fifty years, from rural life to industrialization, from life in the fields to factory work. People like miners, fishermen and shepherds are portrayed in De Seta's works as the last witnesses of a world that is disappearing. He gives us the last visual documents of strong traditions swept away by cultural and economic uniformity.
