Body Snatchers

Directed by

In Fort Daly, Alabama, the children of a scientist responsible for the decontamination of a toxic waste dump note the mysterious ataraxic state of the people living in that area. They discover that some big and mysterious vegetal forms are slowly getting hold of the residents’ bodies, depriving them of any sensations and emotions. There will be one survivor only, a young girl, Marty, who will be rescued by a helicopter pilot and will run away to warn the rest of the world of the serious danger. This is the second remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) by Don Siegel, after Philip Kaufman's homonymous film in 1978.
