biography
He directed sports and adventure features for CBS, France 2, and Canal+ before turning to documentary filmmaking; his film credits include Australie 50° de solitude (1996) and Massai, les guerrieres de la pluie (2003). On the Way to School garnered him a César and a Henri-Langlois award. His film The Big Day (2015) continues his portrait of courageous young people.
