biography

They are visual anthropologists engaged in promoting participatory ethnographic cinema. Through the Big Tree Collective, a hub for young documentary filmmakers interested in social issues, they made Amani Kila Siku (2014) about the music scene in the Congo, City Play (2015) on the Egyptian revolution, Nosso Morro (2016) on the favellas in Brazil from the perspective of adolescents, and I am Waiting for You (2017) filmed in the Middle East. Both are organizers of the Visual Research Network.
