She was born in Delhi, India, in 1969. Theatre and cinema actress, she had her debut in 1996 in the film Ek Thi Goonja. Besides being an actress – she is one of the most popular and appreciated interpreters in the Indian cinema –, she is also involved socially and directs documentary films.
