She is an archeologist and art historian; she debuted with Je suis votre Voisin (1990), winner of the golden FIPA award at Cannes. Other titles to her credit include Le petit Château (1998), Luc de Heusch, une Pensée sauvage (2007).
In the last ten years she co-directed with Mario Brenta the following movies: Calle della pietà (2010), Agnus Dei (2012), Black Light (2015), Corpo a corpo (2014), Delta Park (2017), Il sorriso del gatto (2018), winning film of the 22nd CinemAmbiente, and Vanitas (2020).
