He is an anthropologist; he has directed films since the early 1970s. The founder of the production company drsFILM, he has made documentaries such as El Abrazo (1990), Taming the Floods (2001), Gallow Creek (2009) and Silent Snow (2011), and Utrecht by the Sea (2012), a TV history series.
