She was born in Esslingen, in Germany, in 1973. She studied documentary cinema at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy from 1999 to 2004. Among her works we may mention Ekdysis (1999), Ein Tag (2000) e Hier liegen sie alle (2003). Nacht is the film she made for her diploma.
