Her prize-winning autobiography The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating (2010) garnered her the John Burroughs Medal and the National Outdoor Book for Natural History Literature. In 2010 she also made a film trailer, shortlisted for a Mobey Award for the Best Book Trailer of the year.
