Si è laureato in Etnologia e si è diplomato al Centro sperimentale, prima di realizzare nel 1992 Lettera da Parigi e l'anno seguente il documentario Fracassa Fuori Campo, alternandosi poi tra lavori televisivi e opere cinematografiche.
