Vive e lavora in Lettonia. Si è diplomata presso l’Istituto di Teatro, Musica e Cinematografia di San Pietroburgo, realizzando nel corso della sua carriera più di sessanta cortometraggi, per i quali ha ricevuto numerosi premi. Tra i suoi lavori The Rainy Day (1969), The Dog and the Wind (1978) e Ness and Nessie (1991).
