Ha lavorato dal 1985 in ruoli diversi per numerose reti televisive indiane. In ambito cinematografico è stato assistente di Shyam Benegal per la serie Discovery of India (1987-89). Prodotto interamente in proprio, Aftershocks segna il ritorno al documentario dopo un intervallo di dieci anni.
