Ha cominciato a lavorare come fotografo, prima di studiare cinema all’Insas di Bruxelles, dove si è diplomato con il cortometraggio di finzione 1 sage femme en vaut 2. Ha quindi realizzato diversi documentari, prima di dirigere il lungometraggio Retour sur Terre.
